Today marks the first official day of the boys and their journey to Wimbledon. I'd love nothing more than to see these two take the spots of the Bryan Brothers as the most winning doubles team ever...oh, and they can play singles and win championships like the Williams sisters, too! Let's go, boys! Make momma some money, I mean, proud!! ;0)

When do we get to wrestle? (feb 11)
This was the topic of the night on Monday when my dear old time buddy came to stay with us while she was in town. Apparently, the boys remember Ashley coming to stay with us last year and there was something of a wrestling match. All during dinner they both kept asking "when do we get to wrestle?". It was so cute and funny and Ashley was totally up for the challenge...this girl never backs down from a good tackle party! Love that girl.
Head bangin' (feb 27)
I don't even really know where to start with these two. Last week, Nolan tripped a s fell on his head causing a ginormous black eye/forehead. Then, Reed smashes the bridge of his nose on the basketball goal. Should have ended there but noooo! Today we get a call that Reed has been hit in the head with a rock on the playground. When Todd went to pick them up, Reed had an impressive goose egg on his forehead with a nasty cut. As Todd was inspecting him, Nolan handed him HiS clinic slip from when he tripped over the rug in his class today and smashed his head into the ground. Oye vay!
Hawk-tastic! (feb 22)
Last night, we joined our neighbors (the Martins) for a Marta ride downtown, dinner in the city, followed by a Hawks basketball game. This is the first professional game the boys have been to, and come to think of it, I think it's my first time, too! They had so much fun watching all the slam dunk, squeaky shoes, 3-pointer action, they could hardly stand it! It was a pretty late night for them, but they were troopers up until after 11pm. Phew, I was ready for bed, myself!

My funny valentine
For the past two nights, the boys and I have been assembling their valentine's they get to pass out to their classmates. They each had star wars cards with tiny light sabers, and then we decided to attach a piece of candy. They were very particular on what color tootsie pop or laffy taffy each of their friends would prefer. For something that should have taken all of an hour total, we managed to stretch out to 2 days. Can we say picky?!?

Surprise lunch visitor
Apparently daddie feels the need to smell stinky feet and burnt macaroni and cheese...at least that's what I smell when I enter an elementary school cafeteria! He surprised the boys to have lunch with them. Thankfully to save his ear drums from bursting, it looks like they sat in the special tables outside the mess hall. Happy lunch date, boys!

Chicagoains
Last night, our old buddies from up the street that moved to Chicago came in town for a visit. Grant is 5 and used to call Reed and Nolan his 'cousins'. We were all excited to see and hang out with them, especially since they could come pick us up when my car wouldn't start! (battery/starter issues, it's being worked on today). Sadly, Matt had to stay behind in sub-zero degree weather and work. Boooo, work!

Happy bday, Jammy!
Yesterday, Jammy and Grandy came over to surprise the boys for her bday. We all played outside (basketball, of course), went to dinner, and then celebrated with a vanilla cake with strawberries (the boys picked it). Thanks for letting us share in your day, Jammy! Hope it was wonderful!
