Yesterday, after Jammy and Grandy dropped the boys off at my office we passed the new Abernathy Greenway on the way home and we decided to stop. This place is awesome! The ground is super cushy and the boys had fun exploring each station. When we got to the last one, Reed said, "that's all the obstacles?!?" These kids have been watching too much American Ninja Warrior. They were treating the playground as if they were being timed! Too funny.

Catch up, part deux
Finally, last Friday night todd and I went to Athens to partake in some fun with the boys and JnG and Austin's wedding reception. We went downtown and had the boys pose at the arches because they have been asking about them a lot lately. I'm not sure if they think as a UGA student you are obliged to walk under the arches on a day to day basis or what. But, here they are! (After a scrumptious lunch at the Grill!)

Time to play catch up!
Then, Ashley came to town to work and got to stay with us! The first thing the boys said when I told them she was coming was, "good, we'll have to tackle her!" I told them that she is pregnant and reed said, "so, just tackle her a little?"
And then the two of us went to Dahlonega to surprise Bogie for her birthday. We had so much fun catching up, drinking wine, going out to dinner, and drinking more wine. What's better!?! Linda even bought us some ha-ha's (silly hats and glasses) as she walked through the door.
Next, I went to the BB&T tennis tournament in Atlantic station and watched John Isner dominate his competitor. A little rain delay didn't keep us from sticking around and it turned out to be a beautiful night!

Bikin', hair hikin', lake likin
The other day, I took the boys on a couple of bike rides. We started at Blankets Creek which is a real mountain biking area with everything from beginner to advanced trails. We stuck to the Mosquito Flats (beginner) trail and had a compete blast! They loved the trails, going up and down the hills, and feeling like big boy riders. I couldn't take too many pictures on the trails because I was afraid I was going to run into a tree!
Then, we went to the Greenway in Alpharetta for some nice paved trails to give our bums a rest! When we got there, after 2 hours on the mountain trails, I went to sit on my bike and realized my bum was a little sore. I asked the boys if their bums were sore as well and Reed told me that his privates hurt when he peed in front of my car. I said, "your privates, like your penis hurts?" And he said, "no, when I lifted it to pee, those 2 balls underneath hurt!" Ha!
Then, while I was on a girls trip for the weekend, Todd took the boys on a few errands, including a hair cut...for both of them! I was surprised Reed wanted to cut his long locks, but they both sure do look pretty cute!!
While I was at the lake, the boys got to go to a bday party for their buddy, Parker. What a fun, jam packed weekend we all had!!

Putt-in' Buds
Yesterday, after a long day at work with Mom and errands all over Sandy Springs and East Cobb, we met up with Charlie and Pete at putt-putt. Reed wore this hat all day long. He was so proud of getting it at Six Flags the other day, even when Nolan said "Reeeeed, what are you doing with that hat on at putt-putt?" Reed confidently said, "what? I don't care. I want Pete and Charlie to see it!" All 3 boys got one hole-in-one and had so much fun with each other, as Pete and I sweated walking behind them on their 36 hole adventure. They had a ball!

Six Flags
Today, the boys went with Todd to Six Flags. Looks like they had a mighty fine time! They said their favorite ride was the Log Ride, and I'm sure that one hasn't changed since we went there as kids! Apparently, the Cyclone was their least favorite because they said they almost fell out. All in all, they said it was a great day but they can't wait to go back when they are taller.

Sundaes at Nana's
Last night the boys had another of many fun sleepovers this summer at Nana and Poppa's house. Normally, the whole gang gets together for Sunday dinners but everyone except us was out of town, and we got spoiled! Salmon, steak, and crabcakes, oh my! We think these are the new Sunday dinners of the future, we just won't tell the Goodloe's or the Halloran's! Afterwards, Nana set up the ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate syrup and, oh yea, whipped cream. Oh lawdy!
The boys had fun with their Nana but they were excited to get home tonight and play with their toys. By toys, I mean football cards. Nolan likes to go through the many pages showing me which card on which row he likes the best. Tonight, he gave me one of his cards and told me to keep it close to me. I told him to keep it in his book and we'd just know which one was mine. This is what I found on my bedside table when I went to bed tonight.
