Pre-Easter Festivities

The Southlands Easter egg hunt was in full swing today. The boys stocked up on tons of candy and toys, sat on the bunny's lap, and fed some cute barnyard animals. (they even had a fainting goat!! That's my dream farm animal!!!). Anyhoo, obviously there was a soccer game to follow so what better Easter attire...jerseys! Oye. Then, we dyed eggs on the back patio. What an awesome day, weather included!!

A what?!?

The boys ha their weekly group tennis lesson today, thank goodness it was nice weather---finally! The coach had them play a game to which Reed won. When the coach said "ok, everybody go high 5 Reed for his great win!". Reed replied "ok, the boys can give me high 5's, but the girls can give me a hug. Girls go first!" Coach had to stop the lesson because he had such a good laugh!

Happy 7th, girls!

Friday was Linde and Leah's 7th bday! I can't believe I used to tote these little cuties around in carseats all over the place. The fam celebrated their bdays at nana's house with all of our favorite -sketts- and dawn made them a pudding poke cake. (the Oreo toppers was probably the reason our boys weren't all that tired when it came to bed time!) oh well, it was good! Happy bday, girls...we love you!!

The bear-Anna-cessities!

Last night, the majority of the Halloran/McLure/Goodloe clan was in attendance for Anna's on stage debut of being King Louie! She did such an awesome job, who knew she was the little singer/actor/performer. Way to go, anna! We are so proud of you-ou-ou! We wanna walk like you, talk like you, too!!

Twirl and ralph

Yesterday was the first 70 degree weather day of 2013. What better way to spend it than at the park with friends, sunshine, wine and vomit. Ok, so those things don't all REALLY go hand in hand, but yesterday must have been an exception! We met a bunch of the boys' neighborhood friends at our park and Pete and Charlie Tuttle came to join the fun. The boys kept asking Pete to spin them really fast on the tire swing but as they'd get going at mach 10, they all yell STOP!! After about 3 or 4 times of that, Ryan Martin's dad gave it a shot. Well, there must have been some extra spin on that turn because Reed got off looking a little, um, green. (great! Just in time for St Patty's day!). He proceeded to walk towards me with a feeble "mommy" spilling out of his mouth...then followed the barf. Not once, twice, or even three times. This kid emptied his breakfast, lunch and dinner from the past 4 days!!! I saved my 3 readers the agony of the pictures, but the story was too funny to not share!
(oh, and no, I didn't give the boys wine, that was for all the moms...and it actually made the wretched situation a bit more tolerable.). I'm not sure Pete will be the same after that!!

I want a different birthday

Nolan told me today: mommie, I don't want to have my birthday in August because it's the first month of school. I want my birthday to be july 15th.
Me: why do you pick July 15?
Nolan: because I like it better.
Me: what about reed?
Nolan: his birthday can be June 15.
Me: why do you want to have separate birthdays?
Nolan: so we can have 2 birthday parties!
This kid is a thinker!!! And so far in advance...makes a planning mama proud!!!

Lunch date

Thank you, Jammy, for going to lunch with Todd to visit the boys at school the other day! They were so excited, it was all they could talk about at the dinner table that night. And yes, their faces and goofy smirks didn't change a bit from this picture.

Did I catch a niner?

Yesterday, Todd and I celebrated 9 years of marital bliss. We can't believe it's been almost a decade since we've been hitched and 16 years since we met. Whoa! Here's to 9 more...if he's lucky ;0)
We celebrated with a night out for dinner and a movie. Typical Wednesday night, ya know?!? The boys got to hang out with their favorite babysitter, Rachel, which was just fine by them!
