I used to do this all the time to my old dog, Tinkerbell. Any given day, I would wrap a different leg with an ace bandage. Who knew all these years later all that training would have come in handy when Reed fell today and no band-aid would stick to the palm of his hand. Call me doc!

Movie at the Mill
Last night Arnold Mill Elementary school did a 'movie at the mill' on their field. Everyone brought snacks, food, blankets, chairs and all sorts of stuff to play with. The boys watched the movie for all of about 8 minutes. The rest of the time they played baseball, basketball, football, chase, throw and everything else that doesn't involve sitting.

Family photo sneak peek
Last weekend we had some family photos done by a friend and neighbor, Ashley Blencoe. She is so easy to work with and made the boys smile so genuinely; it was an awesome day! Here's a sneak peek at one of the cute pics she took.

Praying dogus
Polly looks like she's praying for some reason. I think she was watching the news and is down on bended knee for the poor people that were affected by the tragedy in Boston yesterday. So sad.

Another McVenture
As my dear friend Erika knows, I'm a sucker for an advertisement and the promise of getting out and doing something 'fun'. (From trolley rides through the city to haunted melting pot activities). Today wasn't much different... at first. My brave neighbor and recent transplant from Connecticut has found out that the best laid plans by, yours truly, sometimes are just a McVenture. I have seen the billboards for the mayfield dairy farm from here to Athens all the time. 'One day we'll tour the farm, boys!' That one day was today. Unfortunately, the very time we were there to take the 'tour' they were in between shifts and not taking visitors at that time. AND there's no stinking real cows at the 'farm', it's just a processing plant and i'm not even sure they actually make the ice cream there! Oh well, we found the fake cow, milked it before we got kicked out and treated ourselves to the most delicious ice cream 45 miles from home. Score!
But there was a light at the end of the letdown tunnel. We headed east to Athens and watched the UGA tennis boys beat up on the poor kitties from Auburn. And, the boys got to partake in a free tennis clinic on the women's courts headed up by Todd's childhood friend, Paul. Lastly, we introduced the Martins to The Grill downtown and finally home for the boys tucked into bed around 10:30pm. Phew! Busy day and the perfect McVenture had by all!

Spring break 2013
So, it's the start of the boys first official school spring break, and so far they're loving it! They spent the weekend in Athens going shopping, bowling, and to the UGA baseball game. I'm pretty sure they're tired and ready for bed now!

Helloooo daylight savings!
Last night after dinner we all took a walk down to the park because the boys wanted to play basketball. Why they just couldn't do it in our driveway, I'm not sure but they ran and ran and ran and ran...made me so tired I had to go to bed early! Love these long days!!!
