Happy Father's Day to these guys
Hope these best of the best dad's had the best day ever! Some of us got to spend a nice hour and a half of the day sweating bullets watching Reed and Nolan play a little indoor soccer. They won and we all lost a few pounds!

Future Architect
About 3 days ago, Reed constructed a fort in his bedroom and has managed to sleep comfortably in it. Polly did not like the fact that she couldn't see him and repeatedly destroyed it in the search for her big brother. We've been cracking up watching her 'dig' at the sheets like some sort of rescue dog. All she needs is a barrel around her neck and she'll be a certified K-9 rescue.

Lassiter soccer camp
This past week the boys have been attending a soccer camp at Lassiter Highh School lead by Robbie Galvin. Robbie has an older sister named Becky who used to babysit Todd and Tim in Athens when they were young. In turn, when Robbie came around, Todd was old enough and babysat him. It seemed only fitting to keep up with traditions and allow another Galvin to watch over a couple of McLures. The boys had a great time and have already been talking about going back next year.
Bring on the heat!
The only way to beat the heat this summer is climbing into an inter tube with your closest friends...and I mean that literally.
Inflatable fun
Last Friday, the boys and I had the day to ourselves. We looked near and far, trying to decide what to do for the day and came up with this...a giant inflatable water slide!
Apparently, Lake Acworth has a little beach and this amazing slide. I bought the boys all day passes and even though it rained for about a 1/2 hour, that didn't stop them from sliding bliss. We picnicked on the beach, played in the lake and they even convinced me to go down the slide one time (sorry to all the people that may or may not have gotten a glimpse of an old lady's wedgie! Gross. Thankfully, there were very few people to bear witness!)

Sporting young chaps
This weekend was full of sports, sports, and sports galore! Not that hanging out at the pool counts as an actual sport for the adults who do a load of lounging, but the kids burn the calories for us with all the jumping in and out of the pool and running around the tennis courts during adult swim. It was exhausting just watching them on Friday night!
Saturday, I had an early tennis match, then we took the boys back to the pool for a couple of hours and then headed to Atlanta to another Silverbacks soccer game with Jammy and Grandy and a couple of Todd's trivia buddies. Atl lost 0-1 but it was an awesome game followed by the kids getting to run around the field and get autographs after the game.
To round out the sporting weekend, we went to the Gwinette Braves game Sunday afternoon with Lindara, Wil, Nana, Linde and Leah. This was our Xmas gift from Lindara and Sean for the kids to all be in the G'Braves kids club. They get free tixx, t-shirt, foam tomahawk and ball, 2 tixx to the real Braves, and loads of other perks at the ball field. Today, they ran the bases after the game and got to get in the front of the line for being kids club members! They thought it was totally rad.
Happy campers
This summer we have signed the boys up for their very first 'camp' experience. Not only have we signed them up for one camp, but 4! One tennis camp, 2 soccer camps, and one day camp at the Roswell Rec. Last week, they stayed with Jammy and Grandy in Athens (thank you!) and participated in a tennis camp at Bishop Park. They had camp every day from 10-2 where they had a couple hours of tennis, lunch and then a couple hours at the pool. The boys were put in a group with the other kids their age, appropriately. When I picked them up and asked how it went, they said it was lots of fun, they want to go back again next year but they wanted to be put with the kids in the 10 and up group because the kids in their group weren't as good as they were. (I guess there can be a curse to twins that are more athletic than their age group average!)
Jammy and Grandy kept them super busy after camp with their neighborhood friend, Lennan. They got to hang out and play a few days, swim in Lennan's grandma's pool and even go out to dinner and listen to a live band. I hope JnG are able to put their feet up and rest this week after all of that action!
