Ever since Nolan became a 4-eyed monkey, Reed has had a slight jealous bone and has been begging to get his eyes checked. Thankfully, he hasn't been complaining of headaches, blurred vision, or having trouble operating heavy machinery, we waited until last week to get it done. He saw the frames Nolan had and knew he didn't want those, but something similar. We shopped around for a bit and he finally found the perfect glasses for him. Here we go!

As if glasses weren't enough, the boys topped the weekend off with their first academy tournament at Tramore fields in Marietta. They had two games on Saturday, won the first and lost the second, and then had another game on Sunday that they won. Too bad for the second game loss, that win would have sent them to the finals, but their team played great and they all had fun! Reed had a few goals and a bunch of saves when he played goal keeper. Nolan was a little nervous but had several assists and and could control the ball better than anyone on the field. Unfortunately, his nerves (and maybe a pinch of heat exhaustion and dehydration) got the best of him and he might have thrown up a little after the second game. He was upset that he had to play goal, which he hates, and more upset that he let a couple of goals in. Onward and upward, right!?! Thank you, Jammy and Grandy for coming to cheer them on!!!
And then dinner at Nana and Poppa's...Nolan and his sweaty hair, Nana teaching the kids how to play left/right/center for money, and then Keeły stole my phone and took 106 pictures in about 3 minutes.
Crazy kids...
