Picture day
Today was the boys 3rd soccer game as the Green Ninjas and it was picture day. Reed started off the day wearing a red and black head band thinking he was going to wear it during the game to keep his hair out of his eyes. He may have gotten a little embarrassed because he took it off just before team pictures. Here is their first U8 team. I will have to say that I'm pretty proud that neither of the boys are grabbing their 'junk' in the pictures...usually it's something we have to remind them of!!

Happy 11 Anna
So this pic may be from last year, but the Woodstock McLure's wanted to give Anna a shout out on her big 11th bday! We love you, crazy girl!!
Buggin out
This is what happens when you drive through South Georgia and Lower Alabama on the way to the beach...
$30 later and professional detailing...
Tah-dah!! Oh and that'll be an extra $6 just for bug removal. Ok, whatever, so long as I don't have to do it!! De-bug ON with your bad car washing selves!

Old friends at the beach
Thursday we had the Turners and Martins over for some beach time, pool time, and low country boil time. Also included in the days festivities were Cori's bday (33) and Ryan's bday (7). There was not an empty stomach in the place nor an ounce of sugar that did not get consumed!
And after everyone left, this was Reed...so sad to see Shiloh go!!!
Turn it up
This is how we celebrate our last night at the beach....pretty sure DFCS is going to be called on us! First we ate dinner with an alligator the boys so properly named 'Fresh Shuga Puffs' and then things got scary!!!

New beach friends
Thursday, we met a sweet family on the beach from Mississippi. Margot is the little girl and Sonny and Stephanie are her parents. Sonny is a professional fisherman charter dude and had a whole host of equipment to catch sea creatures right off the beach. The boys were a bit skeptical at first to touch a fish, but when they say Margot picking them up by the handfuls, they were all in! It kept them entertained for hours!!
They had fish, crabs, and sand moles or sand fleas which are just weird looking crabs. The birds LOVED us when we tossed everything back in to the ocean because the fish were half dead.
The next day the boys were stoked to see their new little buddy because Margot apparently was a 'really good digger' according to Reed and he couldn't wait to go and play with her again! We'll miss our new beach buddies!
Tons o beach fun
Before I got to the beach on Wednesday, the boys and Jammy and Grandÿ were living right! Bike rides, beach time and ice cream...what a life!
Can I lead?!?
For the last two mornings Nolan has taken bike rides with Mommy and daddy. Both times he has wanted daddy to lead with mommy behind him. When I finally asked 'why' he said, "because you (mommy) have eyes in the back of your head and you can see when people are coming behind us!" Ha! Never thought he'd take that literally!

Satur-full-day
The boys could hardly wait for today to get here...that must be the reason they woke me up at 6am! We played around the house in the AM and headed out for their 2nd green ninjas soccer game. Nolan got to play goalie in a game for the first time.
Reed did whatever he could to get to an out-of-bounds ball so he could do the throw in.
Unfortunately, they lost to a team that I want tested for doping! The score was something in the neighborhood of 25-1. Oh well, they really didn't seem to mind and it can only make them better to play against such a great team. Oh, and Reed scored our only goal!! Way to go Reed! Nolan had a few shots on goal and played his little heart out.
Then, it was off to Charlie Tyson's bday party at The Bounce House in Canton. I was expecting a bouncy place, but nothing THIS cool! They got to jump on the inflatables for a while and then it was time for laser tag! The boys had never played it before so they were a little cautious at first, not really understanding just how they were going to get 'shot'. They sat out the first round or two and then got in to it! (The taller light up jet pack is Todd, yes, he played, too!)
There hasn't been a day to pass recently without some sort of casualty. Thankfully, it's usually the boys beating up on each other. Reed and Nolan were both chasing after the same opponent and ran into each other. Some part of Nolan's body came into contact with Reed's nose, and from what I heard, there was a little bit of blood. Oye!
THEN, they got to play video games. This place was so cool! They had about 8 large flat screen TVs with wii's and x-boxes all around.
Lastly, time for snacks and cake!! Happy birthday, Charlie!!
Oh, and when we got home, they were still running around playing soccer in the front yard! When do they stop?!?

Re-lax-a-tion time!
Uh-oh! I see this very position in the future becoming a habit. Sitting in front of the tv in just his skivvies...today was the last day of school before fall break. We're ready for soccer tonight, tomorrow, a bday party tomorrow and then off to the beach!

Mammoth Cave
Mammoth Caves are the longest know cave system in the world. We wouldn't know just how long it was by experience, but we did venture through about 3/4 mile to see what it was all about. And it was freezing!!! We all had some type of light jacket/sweatshirt/raincoat, but if we had stayed in the caves any longer, we would have needed a parka! All the kids thought it was just so cool!!
